Amber Elizabeth Addison-Scott
Author AmberElizabeth Addison-Scott was born October 1st, 1990 in Austin, Texas. She has dedicated her life to both teaching and writing, previously serving as a Substitute Teacher and After School Instructor for both Austin Independent School District and Harmony Public Schools. She began writing at age of 9 and with the help of her mother, published her first book at the age of 10.
She has received her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts-General Studies, from Austin Community College in December 2016, and is a December 2019 Third Generation Legacy Graduate of Huston-Tillotson University, where she received her BA in English-Writing Arts. Her first Self-Publication was completed in 2017 with "Open Window: A Collection of Poems and Short Stories", a work that spanned over the course of 9 years. In 2019, she launched her online book store, www.BooksByAmber.com.
She is currently pursuing her Teaching Certification and plans to attend The University of Texas at El Paso, to pursue her MFA in Creative Writing. She is also the owner of Jae's Arc Learning Center and Daycare, located in Austin, Texas, scheduled to re-open in 2022.
Ms. Addison-Scott is also a dedicated mother to a vibrant 2 year old son, and an infant daughter."
